Bills win at home!

Junior Varsity= 42  vs East Aurora= 6

The Junior Varsity team came into homecoming week focused on completing the team goals and getting set for the playoffs as #1 team. The 6-2 East Aurora put up an initial fight but could not sustain any momentum and in the end BG scored a season high 42 points with 9 different senior (8th grade) players scoring a TD or extra point (G. Kim, M. Projansky, Y. Martinez, M. Delevitt, D. Giles, S. Yamato, K. Jimenez, E. Earl and B. Duvall.
The team accomplished all its regular season goals

• #1 seed in JV playoffs. 9-0 regular season.
• #1 scoring Offense (251 points) and #1 defense (12 points allowed).
• All eligible players have scored TD or Extra point
• Balanced offensive attack. Double digit passing and rushing TDs

This was a memorable day for all the 8th graders and coaches as we all had a chance to reflect on this season so far and all the past seasons being part of the BG Bills. This is a special group of young men and coaches not because of all the accomplishments, wins or TDs, but because everyone has committed to each other to play together as one unified team, every play and everyday on and off the field. These young men represent the Bills proud.

#5 C. Steciuk, #6 Y. Martinez, #7 K. Jimenez, #9 M. Projansky, #18 L. Siamashvili,
#22 J. Carrigan, #24 T. Dalloul, #31 M. St-Georges, #33 G. Kim, #34 Elijah Earl,
#35 M. Delevitt, #43 D. Castro, #50 J. Hensley, #53 M. Babbo, #54 S. Yamato, #55 C. Shultz, #56 R. Herrejon, #60 J. Rubino, #77 B. Duvall, #79 N. Stefanov, #87 M. Kogan, #88 D. Giles, #90 B. Duff and #99 J. Yau.

Starting from a core group of kids, added some experienced BG veterans and sprinkled a few new players into the mix to become a TEAM of 24. As the season progressed each player found their specific role, embraced it and practiced it. Everyone contributes to the team success each practice and each game. The team is now well oiled machine ready for another Super bowl run. Thanks to Bills nation for a successful regular season.

Bills win at home!

Lightweight= 13 vs  Wauconda= 0

Homecoming and Senior day was the theme for this weekend! These boys refused to allow an undefeated Wauconda team to spoil their weekend.

The first play from scrimmage set the tone for the day a deep pass from Jake Federman to Lorenzo Frezza kicked off the game right.

It was a day of very hard running yards up the middle featuring Brett Schwartz. It was a healthy dose of Brett all day. This made it much easier for the outside running game all day. Marcus Castleberry had a great run to pick up a very important drive that allowed Mason Schubert to score on an off tackle scamper to take the lead. Great runs by Keegan Latulippe making his debut in the back field.

None of this would be possible without the great blocking and dominance of the 7 upfront. Brandon Factor, Anthony Cervantas, Carson Olemon, Tyler Gleyser, Ethan Aghakgan, Ryan Limberg and Keegan Latulippe. Complete domination is the only 2 words that we need to use.

Mason Schubert was all over the field both on offense and DF. Not just scoring a touchdown but making big tackles all day.

Daniel Diaz make a game changing tackle when Wauconda was trying to drive forcing a fumble on a big hit.

We cannot say enough about the defense. Wauconda got nothing all day. It started upfront with the line playing most of the game in the back field making it difficult for them to get plays going. Allowing the LB's and D ends to make plays all day for loss. Nothing was given up by this relentless defense.

We cannot overlook the game was sealed by a great scoop and score by Anthony Cervantas to put the game to rest.

What a complete team win! They came out wanting this game more than Wauconda playing free and lose the entire game. This team looked unbeatable preparing for the playoffs. Its the right time to hit our stride as we prepare to face Prairie Ridge in the first round of the playoffs!

We are giving no guarantees, we must go out and play free and lose to start our journey to the superbowl!

Senior day was great to celebrate the growth and graduation of our 8th graders. Many of them grew up in our program. We are excited to see what the next chapter brings for these young men.

Lastly a Special thank you to Amy and Scott Bauer for hosting a great Homecoming celebration at their home. It was a great way to spend the evening celebrating a great win!

Come on down Prairie Ridge you are the next team to get your butt kicked by this great team!

Bills win on the road!

Middleweight Gold= 7 vs Wauconda=6

Saturday afternoon at home at Emmerich through wind, sleet and rain, Sibo’s Middle Gold team fought hard for a 7-6 victory over Wauconda. The Middles finish the regular season at 9-0 and are division champs. This weekend’s first round of playoffs will feature a re-match with Wauconda. Week 9 highlights were:
• Dro DeLeon with the second Qtr. TD run
• Donovan Robinson punching in the extra point which was the difference maker.
• Devan Abuaita getting his looks improved with the fractured nose. Don’t worry mom he will be fine!
• Defense playing tough. Let’s do it again this weekend!
• Tyler Baker with great open field tackles! The NFL players should come see him for a lesson.

Bills lose at home.

Middleweight Black= 12 vs Cary Blue= 38

The boys had their homecoming this week against a good Cary team. We started off slow, going into halftime down 26-0. We came out starting with the ball in the second half and Noah Palzet #8 got things rolling for us with a 40 yard TD run down our sideline following his brothers into the end zone. Noah gave everyone a much needed boost. After that we came and scored three quick ones. Jack Palzet #13 raced to the corner to score his only of the day. Andrew Langerman #3 ran like a madman up the middle all game long and finally found the end zone for his only one of the day. Jayden Palzet #11 connected with Jonah Belden #21 for a 25 yard TD pass for Belden’s first of the season. Palzet connected with Isiah Hall for a pair of real ice catches as well. The defense did not quit whatsoever. All game long they battled and made Cary earn every yard they got. We forced three turnovers and had many big plays all game long. I’m super proud on how these boys came back out to play in the second half and all season long.

Bills lose at home.

Featherweight= 22 vs Wauconda= 0

Week 9 of the regular season saw the Bills Feather Big 10 Team play their Homecoming game, and what turned out to be their final game of the 2018 Season. Just as they have done all season long, the Bills Feather Big 10 team fought hard, and gave First Place Wauconda a battle, in a 22-12 defeat. As the season started winding down, the Coaches and the players talked a lot about not letting themselves, or their team, or their season, be defined by their record. These young men worked hard at practices for three months, battled hard every weekend against the toughest Feather Big Ten schedule out there, made new friendships, and had a lot of fun along the way. Congratulations on a great season to Miles Tyer, Dylan Fawcett, Brody Delevitt, Aidan Albrecht, Ryan Harris, Ilan Guzman, Braden Bilotta, David Graham, Ty Bauer, Sebastian Crew, Brayden Roth, Matthew Reptak, Anthony White, Dylan Graves, Braden Friziellie, Mikey Top Menaker, Brayden Sher, Levi Schwartz, Blake Strauss, Matthew Kaput, Hami Mikaire, Evan Polen, A great group of young men, who will go on to do great things.

BANTAM9Bantam | Duff

Bills lose at home.

Bantam=13 vs Waukegan=18

The weather was harsh. The ball was slippery. The boys learned what graupel is, and it was not our friend.

The Bantam Bills celebrated homecoming, by welcoming a team without a single point all season. Needless to say, we were confident. Maybe TOO confident.

Right away, the fumblebug bit, and we gave up the ball. By the end of the first half, the Bills were down 12-0. But this team DOES NOT QUIT! The coaches talked up the team at halftime, and made some adjustments.

As soon as we got the ball, we finally found the end zone. The defense found their footing, and made some key stops. We won the second half, but not by enough to make up for the problems at the start.

This was a team loss, so no one gets a special call out this week. It could have been a season-ender, but...

After an extremely nervous and uncomfortable wait, that seemed to go on forever, the Bantam Bills finally got the good news that we made the playoffs!

The Bills face GPH in round 1, and will bring everything we've got, to make a hard run at the super bowl! GPH had better be ready. We will be!

GAME REPORTS

Junior Varsity | Projansky

Bills win on the road!

Junior Varsity= 29  vs BANA= 0

This week’s game was a rematch of last year’s Superbowl. Bana’s home crowd was looking for payback for last year’s heartbreaking loss. Bana won the coin toss but gave BG offense the ball and then quickly realized it was the beginning of the end.

A run dominated 13 play drive for 70 yards capped by a Projansky to Kim 6-yard TD pass for their 8th hook-up of the season. Martinez makes the kick for a 8-0 lead.

Hensley snatched his first interception of the season for a near pick 6 then Martinez finished the short drive with 2-yard TD run. Projansky then found M. Delevitt for beautiful catch and run for 49 yard TD midway thru the 3rd Qtr to bring the score to 23-0.

After another defensive stop, Projansky hit Kim in stride on a 35-yard Go pass that fell two yards short of the end zone. Mario Babbo entered the game as fullback was and he plunged into the end zone for the final TD. This was well earned and great achievement for Mario and all his BG teammates and Bana competitors were all cheering together.

The Defense continued its dominating season with its 8th consecutive scoreless game and only surrendered 18 total yards for the day.

Player Highlights
• Mario Babbo with his first Bills TD!
• Projansky threw for 150 yards & 2 TDs: Kim (100 yards & 1 TD), Delevitt (50 yards & 1 TD) and Jimenez with PAT catch.
• Offensive line dominance: Dalloul, Stefanov, Shultz, Jimenez, Herrejon, Duvall & Duff
• Colin Shultz with 7.5 tackles with 2 tackles for loss
• Tamer Dalloul 3 pancake blocks and 4 tackles
• Interceptions by Kim and Hensley
• Martinez with 2 Extra point kicks & a 50 yard punt.

We are back home next week to finish the regular season.

Bills lose on the road.

Lightweight= 0 vs  Lake Zurich= 8

Another tough road loss for this squad this week. Its was a cold Saturday morning and the boys came to play. It was a great defensive game with the boys responding to the challenge. It remained 0-0 till the 4th quarter when LZ was able to score the only TD of the game.

The offense was kept in check most of the game with a tough LZ DF. They gained some momentum on a drive in the 4th quarter with a tough catch by Jake Youkhanna to get a much needed first down. Another great grab by Mason Schubert to keep the drive alive! LZ clamped down and ended the game 8-0

What a great effort these boys displayed. It showed through a few injuries and down a few players that this team is one to contend. The family and the fight of this family is real!

This weekend we celebrate homecoming and Senior day! This is the day that a lot of the these boys are wanting but dreading at the same time. It's out last regular season game before we start the playoffs. It's a big day for most of these boys. It's time to focus on getting a win and celebrating their hard work at the same time.

Saturday afternoon in Libertyville, Sibo’s Middle Gold team took on a well prepared team and grinded out an 18 - 6 victory. It was a battle all day but the boys fought hard to stay undefeated and move to 8-0. Both sides of the line dominated again, controlled the line of scrimmage and the ball. The team moved to 7-0 and will face Libertyville this weekend. Week 7 highlights were:
• Fawcett to Lynch for the 40 yard TD pass.
• DeLeon with a long TD run in the 2nd Qtr. Sorry I missed it, I was taping up Branas. Had to see it on film.
• Offense with a beautiful long TD drive in the 4th Qtr. To end the game capped off by a McGrath TD run. Way to take control of the game boys.
• O Line doing it again. Patel and Hensley stepping in and stepping up for injured teammates!

Well, this was a tough one. All week, we practiced harder than ever with a different mentality. The game didn't go as planned, but the boys showed no signs of quit what so ever. We moved the ball well all game long, great performance from the entire O-Line. Jayden Palzet connected with Jonah Belden for a pair of catches. Jack Palzet ran hard all game along with Andrew Langerman, Isiah Hall and Jayden Palzet. The Defense looked great too. They did not quit at all, even after being down quick. Big hits and plays from Brayden Wong, Aiden Crawley and the Richmond Brothers. We are coming back home this week for our Homecoming against the other Cary team. Lets head into this week with a new mentality, with last week in the past.

The Bills Feather Big 10 Team did what they've been doing all season long, battling hard against a tough Big 10 opponent, and this time they came up just a little short in an exciting 19-13 Double Overtime loss to Libertyville. Ilan Guzman continued his spectacular season with two more rushing touchdowns, including one in the first overtime to give the team their first lead of the day. Brody Delevitt came up big with a fumble recovery, and a catch in the endzone for the extra point in overtime. Anthony White continued his strong play on both sides of the line. Dylan Fawcett picked up tough yards on the ground. Aidan Albrecht with an interception. David Graham and Dylan Graves stuffed the Libertyville inside running game. Matthew Reptak got his first start at outside linebacker, and played his best game of the season. Braden Friziellie with a big tackle for a loss.
Next up is Wauconda for Homecoming on Saturday.

Bills win on the road.

Bantam=24 vs Mundelein=0

Complete and total domination.

The Bantam Bills fed well today. The Mundelein team was neither big enough, deep enough, fast enough, nor strong enough, to handle the Bantam Bills.

The first play of the game, RB Bowie Richmond broke through the defense, and ran the full 70 yards for a touchdown. Unfortunately, it was called back due to a questionable call away from the play. Matthew Ravenscraft had a Jordanesque flu game today; feeling under the weather this morning, and playing out of his mind anyway. He had a fantastic run, right after Bowie's run got called back. After some hard runs, by Dylan Nelson, Ravenscraft once again got the rock, and thundered in for a stand-up touchdown.

After the stellar defense forced a 4 and out, QB Jackson Boundy handed off to Nelson, on a counter, and scored on the first play of the drive. On the next possession, it was Nelson again, on the sweep fake reverse, for a run into an empty endzone for 6!

Defense shined once again, not allowing a single point, and only one first down. Also, a spectacular fumble recovery for touchdown, by Richmond, had Mundelein demoralized in the first quarter, and in courtesy before the half. DE Eli Sigal had a MASSIVE game on defense, with several sacks and tackles for loss, as well as assisting in Richmond's fumble recovery for 6, AND saving the only Mundelein first down from being a touchdown. Ravenscraft also had a BUNCH of great plays from DE - as I said - he played out of his mind. Linebackers Dylan Nelson, Jake Blair, Jackson Carrigan, and Bowie Richmond had a feast in the backfield! CBs Esteban Plata and Duncan Suren kept almost every single play inside.

Both the O and D lines each had solid performances. Jackson Carrigan and Anthony Alvarado stood out on D with compete chaos in the Mundelein backfield all game! Left guard, Jake Blair, and Center Josh Koepke also made huge holes in the O line for our running backs.

Courtesy offense was helmed by "Blond Johnny" John Urbaszewski, who had a great time, handing off the ball to - I believe, for the first time ever, a Carrigan - who bowled through the Mundelein D-Line, like a bowling ball, for a pair of 5+ yard carries! Jackson was grinning ear-to-ear! Also, Esteban Plata and Jake Blair made some really nice courtesy backfield runs!

All in all, our boys finally collected on the hard work they's been putting in for the last 10 weeks, and are ready for the homecoming game, against Wauconda, on Saturday!

Bills win at home!

Junior Varsity= 28  vs Lake Villa= 0

This week’s game was a division battle versus a talented Lake Villa squad that knows BG very well and came in prepared and confident. LV coaches and crowd believed this would be the day.

With a full coaching staff the offense immediately drove into the red zone behind the running of Diego Giles. M. Projansky hit his favorite target G. Kim for a 24 yard TD strike for their 7th hook-up of the season. Martinez made the 2 point conversion for 8-0 lead. After a defensive stop, Martinez took an 11 yard spinner run for a 14-0 lead to end the 1st quarter.

Lake Villa tested the defense, mixing some runs and some “just missed” passes to post both positive yards rushing & passing for the first time this season. But, in the end the Defense prevailed and posted its 7th consecutive scoreless game, its 6th shutout of the season while the offense posted its standard 4 TDs.

Offensive Highlights
• Over 200 yards rushing and 2 TDs: Martinez (70 yards & 2 TDs), Giles(70 yards), Yamato, Kim, Delevitt, Projansky and Castro.
• Projansky with over 100 yards passing & 2 TDs: Kim (73 yards & 2 TDs), Giles and Delevitt
• Offensive line continued dominance without 2 starters: Stefanov, Shultz, Jimenez, Herrejon, Carrigan & Duff, Welcome back from Washington DC Tamer and Blake.

Defensive Highlights
• 6 tackles and 1 sack for loss by Shultz, Yamato & Earl
• Defensive line pressure by Stecuik, Babbo, Luca, Shultz, Jimenez, Earl & Carrigan
• Great pass coverage by Kim, Martinez, Hensley, Delevitt, St-George, Giles, Castro and Rubino.
• Interception by Delevitt and a forced fumble and recovery by Carrigan

What a tough week to be down 6 players. The boys welcomed a stout Lake Villa team. It was a rough game but the boys kept fighting throughout the game. There was no quit in this team. The score remained close till the 4th quarter only a one score game.

The coaches have a great respect for the fight in this team even in the toughest games. We will learn from this defeat and move forward towards the playoffs.

Frezza broke us down right at the end of the game on his own. We are more than just a team we are a family! We are in this fight till the end. This was the best way ee could have ended a tough contest.

• Sibo spreads the love. Four different young dudes go for TD’s. Jack McGrath, Donovan Robinson, Alejandro DeLeon and Jack Staub all ran for TD’s.
• Staub scoring on a beautiful 40 yard QB keeper. Jack earned that touchdown with his play all year!
• O Line plugging in 3 new guys this week due to class and family trips and still rolling along. Patel, Croce, Hensley, Nelson, Branas, Osborne keeping the offensive machine humming! We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you!!
• Paulauskas going 3 for 4 on PAT’s. Those points are HUGE!
• Defense with another shutout and 2 turnovers

Bills win at home!

Middleweight Black= 12 vs Schaumburg= 0

This weekend, the boys came out ready to rock! This was by far our best performance as a unit. On the Defensive side of things, the boys held Schaumburg to a shut out. They were swarming to the ball, holding their offense to very little all game long. We made some changes this week on the Defensive side, and the boys executed as planned. Shoutout to the entire Defense, as they controlled the game out on that field. Aiden Crawley came up with a big 4th down interception and a return of 25 yards right before the half. On the Offensive side of things, we looked great. We started off slow, going into halftime 0-0. We started with the ball in the second half and started to take over from there. Our offensive line looked great, giving our backs chances to make some big plays with the ball in their hand. Isiah Hall had great runs, making kids miss left and right which set up Andrew Langerman's touchdown early in the second half. Jack Palzet cut and ran his way for his only touchdown of the day, with 1:45 left in the game, making it 12-0 Bills. Jayden Palzet connected with Jonah Belden on a 25 yard pass and catch, making that Jonah's first reception of the season. I am so proud of this team. Day after day they show up ready to fight and ready to learn more of the game.

It was another tough battle for the Bills Feather Big Ten Team, as they came up just short in a 6-0 loss to Lake Villa.  The defense definitely held up their end of the bargain.  Anthony White came up with a big fumble recovery.  Ryan Harris contained the edge and put pressure on the Lake Villa backfield.  Miles Tyer continued his strong play at outside linebacker, getting in on multiple tackles.  There is no doubt this team is battle tested as they look to finish the regular season strong.

Bills lose at home.

Bantam=19 vs Lake Villa=34

A short roster, and key injuries snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The Bills offense was marching down the field, at will. Keeping the football for 6 of the 8 minutes of the first quarter, and Bowie Richmond and Dylan Nelson each scored on the first two possessions. Matthew Ravenscraft had strong runs, shedding tackles like a pro, all game. After a fantastic run on the keeper by Nelson, it only took 2 plays for Richmond to find the end zone once again, and a third time for the PAT.

On Defense, OLB Jake Blair and MLB Dylan Nelson terrorized the Lake Villa backfield, and CBs Anthony Alvarado and Esteban Plata each made tackles for loss. DE Eli Sigal broke up a reverse as well, giving Lake Villa another smack in the mouth. But it came at a cost, as Sigal left the game for good with an injury.

Lake Villa made some adjustments during halftime that the Bills just couldn't answer. Due to injuries, players were asked to play positions they don't normally play. Unfortunately, Lake Villa knew how to exploit that fact, and rattled off 4 unanswered touchdowns in the second half. The iron men, playing both ways, just ran out of gas on defense, and the offense was shut down in the half.

As angry, hurt, and frustrated as these boys got, they still refused to quit. They played hard right until the end. This was a hard loss, but I think we all will learn from it, and be better players as well as coaches, in the future, because of it.

Bills win at home!

Junior Varsity= 8  vs Warren= 6

This week’s game was a battle for top of the JV division. Both teams came in undefeated and #1 and #2 in scoring through the first five weeks. The game lived up to its billing and the refs let the boys play. In the end it was a defensive battle with the Bills escaping with a well earned 8-6 win.

We started the game shorthanded (missing players & coaches) and things got immediately worse as two more players had to come out with injuries and equipment issues. BG drove into the red zone ready to deliver an opening score, Warren stunned the home crowd with an interception that looked like a sure touchdown but Mackenzie Delevitt (not known for his speed) tracked him down and Shultz stopped him 10 yards short of the goal line. Warren crowd went wild with anticipation of a first time win versus the group of 12-13 year olds (0-3 previously against BG).

The defense which hadn’t given up a single point was faced with its biggest challenge and they stepped up. After Carrigan and Dalloul stuffed the first run, Matt Projansky got payback with an Interception of his own in the end zone for a touch back.
Then offense took control for 13 play 80 yard drive behind a punishing offensive line (Stefanov, Duvall, Jimenez, Herrejon, Dalloul & Shultz) and the power running of Giles, Projansky, Yamato & Hensley. Giles scored on a 1 yard plunge and kicked the extra point for what ended up being the difference.

Warren wouldn’t give up as they did just enough to stall BG’s offense in the red zone. Then they made one final effort with a pick 6 at the end of the 3rd quarter. But once again it was short lived as our #1 enforcer (Colin Shultz) plowed through the line to block a sure extra point kick leaving the score 8-6.

The defense then simply enforced its will all game and stymied the previously high powered Warren attack and passing game. This dominant defense remains un-scored on, gave up only 23 yards total and had 2 INTs, 3 Sacks and 4 tackles for loss. Warren left field with another heartbreaking loss to BG, but they are already scheming for a rematch in the playoffs.

Player of the game (so many):
• D. Giles 21 carries for 120 yards, a 1 yard TD and extra point kick.
• M. Projansky with key running for 3 first downs and an interception
• T. Dalloul & C. Shultz combined with key pancake blocks, 3 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, a blocked kick to preserve the win and TD saving tackle and a sack
• M. Delevitt with pure hustle, key open field tackle and several defended passes
• Luca for quick thinking to fix a teammates helmet and clogging the middle of defensive line

Great team effort by all players and great support from the Bills organization to fill in for missing coaches.

Bills win at home!

Lightweight= 28 vs  North Shore= 0

The lightweights defended their house this weekend. Beating a Northshore team from snap one till the end of the game. We started a little slow but a long run and the first score got the team going. Farid got his first start and played the whole game working hard to stop the run game. Santi was 2 for 4 on extra points with very nice kicks right down the middle. It was a great team effort and everyone contributed as they set their stake on a run to the playoffs. Keegan hauled in a TE rub pass and took it to the house for his first score of the season. Brandon Factor showed off his improved blocking walling off his defender all game and allowing our boys to get outside. Great teams work together to get the job done! This team gets the job done week in and week out.

Next week many of the boys are on their 8th grade trip to DC. We are getting ready for a tough Lake Villa team! They are trying to come to our house and take the division away from these deserving boys. We are getting ready for a hard fought game that will have our boys rooting us on from a far. We are proud of how this team is preparing as one. One team one heart beat! We will succeed as a team!

Bills win at home!

Middleweight Gold= 26 vs North Shore=0

Finally Sibo’s Middle Gold team was back home playing in our house and delivered a physical 26-0 win over North Shore. Both sides of the line controlled the game in dominating fashion. The team moved to 6-0 and will face an undefeated team from Waukegan this weekend. Week 6 highlights were:

• Jack McGrath running up the middle punching in 2 TD’s

• Donovan Robinson running wild outside and scoring 2 TD’s of his own including a beautiful 32 yard TD run

• We will continue to say this each week, O Line of Nelson, Branas, Osborne, Abuaita and Capstick you drive the engine and make it all work. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you!!

• Nice 2 Point PAT by Fatman!!

• Jack Staub with another Interception. He is a turnover machine.

Bills lose at home.

 Middleweight Black= 6 vs South Elgin= 7

The boys made their way back to their home field this past weekend. The Defense did everything right all game long. They found the ball and made team tackles, making it hard for SE to move the ball. The D put our Offense in the position we wanted to be in, with the fight they showed on that field. Great team effort from all 11 of the defensive players. Offensively we moved the ball well all game. The line made big holes so our backs could step up and run the ball real well. The boys who played in positions that they were not use to, stepped up and played great all game. I'm so proud of these boys. They fight and fight without showing any sign of quit in them! We are coming back home for week 7 ready to execute and have some fun out on that field.

Featherweight | Delevitt

Bills lose at home.

Featherweight= 6 vs North Shore= 19

It was a tale of two halves for the BG Bills Feather Big 10 team, when they played the undefeated North Shore Junior Trevians. Just before the half, Aidan Albrecht hit Ryan Harris on a beautiful pass over the middle, and Harris took it 30 yards tor the touchdown, to make the score 7-6 at the half. The second half wasn't as close, as the Junior Trevians scored to more touchdowns to win the game 19-6 over the BG Bills. Ty Bauer and Evan Polen did a great job of firing out and holding their blocks on the offensive line. David Graham and Braden Friziellie blasted through the Junior Trevian offensive line, and provided some much needed pressure in the backfield. Ilan Guzman continued his impressive play on both sides of the ball; running for tough yards on offense and flying all over the field making big stops on defense. Before the start of the game, the team had the chance to meet,and some reacquainted with a special young man. Jackson Clark, is a former Bills player, who played on Coach Delevitt's 2017 Super Bowl Champion Bantam Big 10 Team. Jackson always kept the coaches on their toes, and improved greatly as a football player, throughout the season. Jackson has been facing adversity, and has been battling it admirably. Jackson was made an honorary Captain for the game, walked out for the coin toss, and was presented with a jersey. The BG Bills Feather Big 10 team have spent a lot of time talking about facing adversity, and picking themselves back up, and battling hard against that adversity. Jackson Clark exemplifies this, and was a great reminder that there are things that are much bigger than sports, and in this case, the game of football.

Middle black6Bantam | Duff

Bills win at home!

Bantam= 13 vs North Shore=0

The Bantam boys really showed they are a different team this week than they were on week 1. The offense made very few mistakes, and the defense was just about perfect today!

North Shore couldn't get anything done, with Jackson Boundy, Anthony Alvarez, and Jackson Carrigan wreaking havoc in the box, and Duncan Suren and Esteban Plata keeping everything inside. DEs Matthew Ravenscraft and Eli Sigal stopped every single play that came their way. Ravenscraft was terrorizing the North Shore backfield all day long! MLB Dylan Nelson even came up with a fantastic interception! Great team defense overall!

The offense got off to a slow start, but came into the second half on a mission! Ravenscraft had monster runs in all 4 quarters. Bowie Richmond and Dylan Nelson each had several long runs.
In the second half, Richmond scored 2 touchdowns and Nelson plowed in the PAT on a keeper. Special props to birthday boy, Josh Koepke and to QB Jackson Boundy for solid snaps and handoffs all game, despite the drizzly weather!

The future is looking bright for the Bantams!

LW 5Lightweight | Hooge

Bills win on the road!

Lightweight= 14 vs  Kenosha= 0

The Lightweight boys made the hour trip to Kenosha to take on a very tough team. The offense set the tone from the opening drive with another long touchdown pass from Federman to Goldman to take an early 8-0 lead.

The defense then came on to to continue the relentless attack. Ethan Aghakhan made a text book hard hit on the open play to set the tone for defense all day. Triple Lindy (Ryan Lemberg) was shot out of a cannon all day nearly taking the hand off from the QB more than once. The defense did not allow the Ramblers to get started throughout the game and continued the attack till the final whistle.

The offense was under attack by a tough Rambler defense that forced 4 turnovers. The boys dug deep and kept fighting. The beef up front (Factor, Cervantas, Diaz, Gleyser, Lemberg Aghakhan, Youkhanna, and Latulippe) worked hard to keep the Ramblers off our running backs. The constant pressure on these guys made them work hard all game. The were rewarded with another long TD run to take a commanding lead.

it was a hard hitting game that was a knock down fight! Good teams overcome tough games and this one was certainly a tough game. We are very proud of the team and the fight they have.

Next week we welcome North shore to Bills nation. We have work to do to be ready for another victory.

Bills win on the road!

Middleweight Gold= 22 vs Kenosha=6

Week 5 and Sibo’s Middle Gold team traveled over the border to Kenosha and grinded out a 22-6 win. In a tough physical game the boys plugged away all day and would not be denied. In the win the boys showed a lot of character. Week 4 highlights were:

• Donovan Robinson started the scoring on an inside run of 4 yards
• Jack McGrath grinded all day up the middle gaining yards.
• Dro DeLeon on the counter goes 40 yards for the TD
• With no time left in the 2nd Qtr., Fawcett hits Robinson on the swing pass who jukes and plows his way into the end zone. It was a Sports Center quality highlight.
• Big shout out to the O Line of Nelson, Branas, Osborne, Abuaita and Capstick. They controlled the line, controlled the game and helped bring home the win.
• Defense bent but did not break. Tyler Baker with the nice interception and Fatman Thorndyke & Paulauskas both with fumble recoveries. Love those multiple turnover games!!

MW black 5Middleweight Black | Schumi

Bills lose on the road.

 Middleweight Black= 7 vs Antioch= 12

The boys headed down to Antioch with a chip on their shoulder, ready to try and turn this thing around. All game the Defense looked great! All 11 players, played together as one. They were flying around, locating the football and making group tackles. This game was the best that our defense has played all year long. Big 4th down stops gave our Offense another shot or two to move the chains a bit! It was a battle out on that field and unfortunately we fell a tad short. Offensively we were moving the ball well, that starts with the O-Line. Shoutout to the entire offensive line from end to end they looked great. The backs played well, found their holes, followed their blockers and ran like mad men!

We are heading into this week with some fire in our eyes, ready to come back home, get a win and have some fun out there!

Bills lose on the road.

Featherweight= 0 vs Kenosha= 13

It was a tough morning up in cheese-land, against an experienced Kenosha team, as the BG Bills Feather Big 10 Team ended up on the losing end of the 13-0 final score.  Aidan Albrecht hit Ilan Guzman on a long pass over the middle.  Brody Delevitt with three catches, and chunks of yards after the catch.  Braden Bilotta got himself involved in multiple tackles.  Blake Strauss got into the Kenosha backfield and pulled down the ball carrier for a loss.  Matthew Reptak burst through the line into the Kenosha backfield.  Miles Tyer got the start at outside linebacker, and his aggressiveness and overall great play, got him in on tackle after tackle.  Ilan Guzman continued his beast mode season, running hard and catching the football on the offensive side of the ball, and leading the team in tackles on defense.  The BG Bills Feather Big 10 team knows there is still lots of football to be played this season, and they will be ready to defend their home field when North Shore comes to town this Sunday.

Bantam 5Bantam | Duff

Bills lose on the road.

Bantam= 0 vs Kenosha=6

The bantam offense marched down the field at will. Great work by Jackson Carrigan, Jake Blair, and the rest of the offensive line, opening up holes for hard runs by Dylan Nelson, Bowie Richmond, and Matthew Ravenscraft, got us into the Red Zone twice. Unfortunately, mental mistakes prevented us from closing the deal.

The Bills Defense was immense! The game was scoreless for 3 and a half quarters. Boundy and Ravenscraft forced fumbles in the backfield, and the latter even recovered it! Jake Blair also made a great tackle for a loss in the Ramblers' backfield. The D-Line also managed to get a huge 3-and-out, giving us the ball back, at the Kenosha 25!

Just a couple of mental mistakes, by the defense, in the bottom half of the 4th quarter, allowed Kenosha to sneak one into the end zone, and steal away a heart-breaker.

The Bills faced an undefeated team, with a large bantam program. Given another chance, our boys would beat them convincingly. The Bantam Bills are a different team than they were a month ago. This coach feels that good things are in store our team!

Lightweight= 20 vs  McHenry= 0

The Bills Lightweight Team finally got the chance to play on the home field his week. The boys came out ready to dominate. The defense put in another impressive performance holding the 3-0 McHenry Team scoreless throughout the game. The line got penetration all game while the backers and corners cleaned up anything that popped through. Not be outdone, the offense started fast scoring touchdowns on the first two possessions. Goldman darted around the end on the third offensive play for a long touchdown run. The first play of the second possession resulted in a 75 yard touchdown pass from fedex Federman to Schubert. Federman was had a big day throwing the ball over the top of the defense. The final touchdown came as Federman hit Frezza in stride on a corner route. Next week the team heads over the border to face another tough opponent in Kenosha.

On a beautiful day on the home field, Sibo’s pulled out a hard fought win against Oak Park 25-6. Jack Staub made Bills history and the running backs just keep scoring. Week 3 highlights were:
• Jack Staub had a Bills record 4 interceptions in the game. Got to get his name up on the big board!!
• Donovan Robinson on the counter goes 70 yards for the score out running the defense
• Jack McGrath scores twice. One rushing TD and 1 Fumble return for another TD
• Dro DeLeon sweep left for the score
• Jack McGrath punched in 2 TD’s of his own
• All this scoring wouldn’t be possible with the O Line. Keep it up boys!!
• Defense dominated all day long

Bills lose at home.

 Middleweight Black= 0 vs Kenosha= 27

Well, our home debut did not go as planned.  This loss definitely does not define this team in anyway shape or form. The boys fought hard all game and didn't quit. Our offense played against a solid defense who did their jobs all game. The backs had to fight for every yard they could get out there, which is something they do well as a group.  On the defensive side of the ball for us it was a tough one as well.  As the game went on, the stronger they got.  Kenosha got off to an early lead but really slowed down once our defense had made some adjustments. Overall, I am real proud of these boys!  Next on our agenda is to bounce back and get ready to go for this next one.

Feather4Featherweight | Delevitt

Bills lose at home!

Featherweight= 13 vs Lake in the Hills= 32

Lake in the Hills came in with their high powered offense, and the Buffalo Grove Bills Featherweight Big Ten Team, struggled to keep them in check.  Ilan Guzman had the highlight of the game, when he picked off a Lake in the Hills pass, and took it 70 yards the other way for the pick 6!!  That was about the only mistake that the Lake in the Hills QB made all day.  He was as good as advertised.  Evan Polen and Dylan Graves battled hard to get into the Lake in the Hills backfield from the interior of the line. Blake Strauss brought pressure off the end. Brody Delevitt did a great job blocking the edge, and Brayden Roth did a great job blocking on the interior.  Ryan Harris was Mr. do it all, running for tough yards on offens, and covering their best receiver.  Dylan Fawcett capped of the BG scoring on the day, we he took a reverse 30 yards to the house.  The BG Bills Featherweight Big Ten team, will look to get back on the winning track, up North in Kenosha this weekend.

Bantam | Duff

Bills win at home!

Bantam= 19 vs McHenry=0

Sweet victory!

The Bantams are finally hitting on all cylinders! Offensive line: Nana Mikaere, Jake Blair, Josh Koepke, Jackson Carrigan, and Duncan Suren, opened up holes all day, which running backs Matthew Ravenscraft, Dylan Nelson, and Eli Sigal exploited for huge gains! Tight Ends Anthony Alvarado and Bowie Richmond did a very nice job blocking, and opening up the sides for our sweeps! Dylan Nelson had 2 TDs (and nearly a 3rd) plus more hard runs than the entire team has had all season long!

The defense showed their stinginess wasn't a fluke last week, and with a full squad of players, they can stop great defenses all day long. Josh Koepke and Eli Sigal getting to the QB, Matthew Ravenscraft recovered a fumbled snap! Consistent harassment of the backfield by Jackson Carrigan and the linebackers frustrated McHenry, and netted the Bills a shutout!

All in all, a fantastic performance against a respectable McHenry squad, results in a convincing shutout win!

GAME REPORTS

JV Barrington 2018Junior Varsity | Projansky

Bills win on the road!

Junior Varsity= 29  vs Barrington= 0

Shutout win over a previously unbeaten Barrington team. This was first game we had the entire team together and was Barrington’s worst nightmare come true. It was 14-0 before their offense had a chance to get the ball and by halftime it was 21-0. Unlike the Bears, the defense sealed it with an early 3rd Qtr blocked punt that Yamato hauled in for a nail in the coffin TD, game over 29-0.

Offensive Highlights:
• Power running for set the tone on first TD (Giles 2 yards), attempted and completed new onside-kick play with pass to Delevitt, and ended the offensive barrage with Projansky hitting Kim in the end zone for 2nd TD (22 yards). Hensley added a 1 yard run for the 3rd TD of the first half.
• Offensive line - Dalloul returned hungry with a crushing pancake block on first play and then added 4 more. Shultz(3), Stefanov(2) & Duvall(1) added 6 more pancakes with Herrejon, Carrigan, Duff and Luca pushing defenders into the secondary all day.
• Running backs tallied 160 yards on the ground led by Martinez (55 yards), Yamato (45 yards) & Delevitt (25 yards). Giles, Castro, Hensley and Kim finished a punishing run attack.
• Projansky delivered timely pass game for 70 yards to his go to receivers Kim (2-34) and Delevitt (2-34) and added an extra point conversion pass to St-George.
• Yau captained a smooth 2nd half offensive attack and held for 2 extra point kicks by Martinez.

Defense Highlights
• Negative 5 yards for the day. 3rd shutout of the season and added to the negative 55 rushing yards for the season.

• Opportunistic LBs added several tackles for loss (Yamato, Martinez and Hensley), a Fumble recovery (Giles), blocked punt for TD (Yamato) and a game ending interception (Jimenez).
• Stout Defensive Back play: St-George (2 tackles), Delevitt, Rubino & Kim (2 passes defended each) and Castro with 4 yard tackle for loss.

LW week3Lightweight | Hooge

Bills win on the road!

Lightweight= 14 vs  Barrington= 0

The team had one goal as they headed to Barrington to take on a very good team. That was to win. That's exactly what they did!

The DF was dominant throughout the game. Not allowing a single point. Anything that Barrington tried was shut down. The DF line (Aghakhan, Cervantas, Lemberg, and Diaz) set the tone from Barrington's opening play. Both Oloman and Wunch set the edges and didn't bite on the read option plays. The DF played as one unit and it showed.

The O worked hart to get everything thing that they could. Hard runs up the middle by Swartzy to gain much needed first downs. Zach did his thing and scored on a long run. The O line welcomed a new starter with Daniel Diaz showing he may be small in stature but huge in heart. The O line make great adjustments as the game went on serving up pancakes all day long. Tyler Gleyzer took over making the blocking adjustments and helped the guys make good solid blocks.

We finished off the first half with a TD strike from FedEx to Schubert with one second left one the clock.

The second half was a game of will. Who wanted this game more and these boys showed how good they are fighting till the final second with another great win!

We welcome McHenry to OUR house this Sunday. The goal is the same the opponent is the only change!

MW gold 3Middleweight Black | Schumi

Bills lose on the road.

 Middleweight Black= 7 vs Barrington= 12

The boys played hard from start to finish, but fell short in a 12-7 battle. They are really coming together as a team, and that is showing out on the field. We are taking this loss on the chin and heading into this with a this in the past, ready for week 4!

The offensive line played great! They created holes so our backs could run the ball well today. They're really starting to communicate out there and work together as a group!

Jack Palzet ran himself his third touchdown on the season! Following his blocks then getting to the open field is something Jack does real well.

Isiah Hall ran great today. He was very patient when finding the holes, giving him the ability to have a great day on the ground.

Brayden Wong carried the ball in traffic, and brought it with him! Brayden does not stop after the initial contact, his legs keep moving and fights for whatever he can get.

The Defense held Barrington to only 12 points today. All 12 points came early in the first half. Once the second half came around, the boys came together and didn't let up any points... Hardly and second half first downs.

All around great game, lets bounce back and get the next one!

Bills win on the road!

Featherweight= 26 vs Barrington= 6

Redemption. Getting back up after being knocked down.  Those were two of the focal points at practice last week.  The Bills Featherweight Big 10 Team was anxious to get back out on the field, and it showed, as they took out their frustrations on Barrington in a 26-6 victory in Barrington on Sunday.  The defense set the tone once again.  Anthony White chased down the quarterback and got the sack.  Dylan Graves raced into the Barrington backfield and got a big tackle for a loss.  Dylan Fawcett and Ilan Guzman flew around making tackles in the Barrington backfield and all over the field.  Miles Tyer didn't allow Barrington to run the ball to his side of the field with any success.   Matthew Kaput and Brayden Sher provided pressure up the middle all game long.  After the defense stopped Barrington on the opening drive of the game, the offense opened up the scoring on the day, when Ilan Guzman got behind the defense and Aidan Albrecht hit him on a 40 yard touchdown strike.  Albrecht kept it himself, and got to the corner of the endzone to convert the extra point.  Albrecht threw his secong touchdown pass on the day, when he found Brody Delevitt over the middle, and Delevitt raced 20 yards into the endzone.  Delevitt followed that up with a catch just over the goal line to convert the extra point.  Sebastian Crew, David Graham, and Mikey Top-Menaker, opened up big holes on the offensive line for the running backs.  Ryan Harris wore down the Barrington defense on the ground late in the game, before punching one into the endzone to finish the scoring on the day.  The Bills Featherweight Big 10 Team will look forward to getting back on their home field next week against Lake in the Hills.

BANTAM 3Bantam | Duff

Bills lose on the road.

Bantam= 0 vs Barrington=20

Bantam squad showed that there is no "quit" on this team!

Despite playing with only 1 sub, the defense played their best game to date! D-Line; Jackson Boundy, Jonah Duff, and Josh Koepke, stopped the middle run pretty much all game. New monsterback, Jackson Carrigan, terrorized the Barrington backfield, while cornerbacks Anthony Alvarado and Esteban Plata made key plays, stopping Barrington's offensive sweeps in the backfield several times. Even as the fluke plays got by, and Barrington scored 3 times, the defense still made great plays right to the end. Jake Blair, Matthew Ravenscraft, and Dylan Nelson all making solid tackles. Great job, D!

Offense was stymied by Barrington's older/lighter D, made up of over half a dozen 9 year-olds. Between the temporary lack of depth, and the experience deficit, the Bantam Bills offense just couldn't seem to make any headway today. Despite those facts, the boys played hard all game, and were still feeling pretty good at the end of the game.

The entire coaching staff is very proud of the boys' performance today. The situation was definitely against them, and they outperformed our expectations.

Lightweight Gold week 2Lightweight | Hooge

Bills win on the road!

Lightweight= 26 vs  Northside= 6

The squad made the Sunday afternoon trip down to Lane stadium to face a very tough North Side team. It was a tough game and neither team was willing to give in. After a 3 and out by North Side it took one play for Zach Goldman to take it all the way to the house with a long TD run. North Side tighten up on our second possession causing a turn over on a fumble. Our DF was resilient all day not allowing the a very good North side team to get their offense going. Alex Wunsch and Carson Oloman played very well at DF end as they were tested all game. The DF line showed their strength pushing back the North Side O line all day making tackles in the back field. Charlie Skolnik had a great game at linebacker making several jarring hits to stop North Side ball carriers in their tracks.

We were able to run the ball at will in the first half with some great blocking by the O line and hard running by all the running backs. The second half was a dog fight North side was relentless attacking the ball when we were on offense. Brett Schwartz helped grind the ball up the middle getting some real tough yards to keep the O rolling. We are very proud of the team how they fought kept the pressure on a North side team that just kept coming. North Side started to move the ball and keep their offense on the field with lengthy drives that tested the DF. Jake Youkhanna made a great open field tackle on a drive that saved a score to keep them stifled in the 3rd quarter. We are very happy to get out of this game with a well earned win. Great job boys! We now get ready for a much improved Barrington team since we saw them in a scrimmage a couple weeks ago. We have a lot of work to do as we were a somewhat exposed during the game and need to tighten up a few things. We cannot say anything more about how hard these boys fight and look forward to week 3!

MIDDLE GOLD 2Middleweight Gold | Sibo

Bills win on the road!

Middleweight Gold= 28 vs Grant=0

Week 2 the Middles were away at Grant and saw the team deliver a 28-0 victory. The boys ran through the mud and played with great energy. Week 2 highlights were:

• Donovan Robinson racking up 2 more TD’s to bring his season total to 5

• Big Ben Fawcett to Griff Suren again for the TD. Think there something brewing here!

• Jack McGrath gets another TD • Deividas “Dave” Paulauskas goes 2 for 4 on Extra Points. Great job, we are getting better at this each week!!

• Defense with shutout #2 of the year. Coach Gerry’s D is ferocious

• O Line of Paulauskas, Abuaita, Osborne, Branas and Nelson controlling the game again. You dudes make the team go!

MIDDLE BLACK 2Middleweight Black | Schumi

Bills win on the road!

 Middleweight Black= 27 vs Lake Zurich= 0

Bills Middle Pac came into week two with some fire in their eyes. Right out of the gates, the Bills took control and ran with it. It was a big day from the Offensive Line. They made it possible for our backs to score four Touchdowns, which also gave us the ability to control the game. Huge performance from the entire Defensive side of the ball, leaving the opponent scoreless throughout the whole game.

--- Jack Palzet ran like a mad man and ended with two of his own TD's
--- Brayden Wong hurdled and trucked his way for his first of the season
--- Isiah Hall cut up and found the end zone for his first of the season as well
--- Jonah Belden came up huge on the Defensive side with two interceptions

Bills- 27

Offensive MVP: The Offensive Line
Defensive MVP: The entire Defense

Feather 49 GuzmanFeatherweight | Delevitt

Bills lose on the road.

Featherweight= 0 vs Grant= 6

Mama said there'd be days like this.  The Buffalo Grove Bills Featherweight Big 10 team, couldn't overcome a muddy field, and a physical Grant team, in a hard fought 6-0 loss.  Penalties and turnovers thwarted most of the Bills offensive drives.  The defense ruled the day.  The defense pitched their second consecutive shutout, and still haven't given up any points on the season.  Ilan Guzman, covered in mud, was all over the field making tackles.  Matthew Reptak, Dylan Graves, Anthony White, Hami Mikaere, Braden Bilotta, and Evan Polen, battled hard all day against a physical Grant offensive line.  Miles Tyer and Brayden Sher locked down the Grant receivers.  This game in no way defines this team, and better days lie ahead, as the Bills Featherweight Big 10 team will be anxious to get back on the field, and get back on the winning track against Barrington.

BANTAM week 2Bantam | Duff

Bills lose on the road.

Bantam= 0 vs Grant=20

Our boys showed a lot of growth this week. Improved play by the defensive line (Jackson Carrigan, Nana Maekare, Josh Koepke, and Jake Blair) kept this game out of courtesy. Jake nearly had 2 sacks, but still made tackles in the backfield. Dylan Nelson also made a huge tackle for a giant loss!

Grant's blitz was a relentless assault against our offense, until Jackson Carrigan stepped up and put the smack down on the blitzers. Our offensive line is still finding it's footing, but Nana Maekare gets MIP for the O-line this week.

Once again, the team was faced with a much larger team, that put up a huge fight, and didn't lose heart. They gave it their all, right through the last play. Quit is just not in this team's vocabulary! The entire coaching staff is very proud of the character shown by this team!
